Are you Ready for Socialism?

I have limited access to Rush Limbaugh, but I heard him talking about Tom Daschle’s book Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis. He went on to talk about the proposed Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research, how our medical records will become digitized and medical treatment trends followed by the federal government.

Then I was forwarded this link.

This is an article by Betsy McCaughey who is the former lieutenant governor of New York. She highlights Bill Number H.R.1 (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009)

McCaughey points out that, “Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. [He] also praises Europeans for being more willing to accept “hopeless diagnoses” and “forgo experimental treatments,” and he chastises Americans for expecting too much from the health-care system.”

The President is now pushing and advocating the passage of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 as quickly as possible so he can begin the transformation of America. After reading this article, I don’t like this new transformation (or change).

Are you kidding me! The links are there, read them yourself and make your decision. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 is not the answer and neither is Obama.

Buckle your seat belts.

All I can say is leaving everything the way it is isn't working. If you could listen to the number of people I talk to at my job who can't get simple screanings because of health insurance, or who are maxed out on their health insurance after one chemo treatment, or can't afford the VERY expensive copays, then I think you could see the need for change. I'm not saying that everything Obama is proposing is the answer. Also reading this article makes me think the author has a big slant on their view of the plan. It hasn't taken effect, it hasn't been voted into law yet...

But use your American right and contact you senator and congresses person and urge them to vote the way you think it needs to be.

Sorry, I just get a little irked but anti-Obama stuff before he was in office and then just 2 months later. Its a HORRIBLE unfun time to be president, no matter who it is, and its going to take a lot of work for things to turn around.

God is the answer, we have to pray that our leaders are moving in the ways He wants them to.

If Federal Withholding and Social Security taxes were suspended for at least 2 months, anyone who pays taxes (supposed to be everyone with an income, except a few Obama appointees), we would have at least any additional $600+ in everyone’s pocket. Instant stimulus, no checks cut just right into our pockets.

I don’t think an $866,000 frisbee golf course is going to pull us out of recession (just one of the pet projects in the Stimulus bill).

I have used my American right and voiced my opinion, but it will be to no avail. I also think taking some time to find out a better solution won’t hurt the economy any worse than it already is, but that’s not what the President is saying, “NOW NOW NOW!” There is no hope in such a stimulus package, only wasteful spending our children and grandchildren will be paying for.

I'm just glad I'm not president -- I think no matter who it is they are going to be reamed for acting to soon, not acting soon enough, spending too much money, not spending enough -- really its a tough thing to do...

I think the Frisbee golf came from the individual states -- I heard the Mayor of Austin talking a few days ago about this and what happened was each state sent in proposals for what they could do with the money given to them to prevent the government from putting it in other areas. So it was an idea to make new jobs and blah blah -- all that to say, it wasn't Obama who said "Austin needs more frisbee golf!"

ya -- I just pray it gets better...

Sorry for being too liberal for this blog... I'm sooooo far over from my other Christian friends I feel weird about it...

And concerning Anti-Obama, I don’t think questioning the proposed polices, bills and anything else the government does or promotes should be “anti-Obama.” I think he has taken ownership of the office and he will be scrutinized daily. Personally, I think the American people were lied to by the Obama Campaign and if we don’t question everything he and his administration does we might found ourselves in a lot of trouble. I think there were several better candidates for president, but the “rockstar” won.

Our country is built on debate, so please keep it coming. Oh and as I said, “Buckle Up!”
